CLÀSSICA EN CATALÀ
Do you enjoy attending concerts or opera performances and would like to get to know their protagonists and their professional experiences a little better? Or are you a classical music student curious to know more about the profession? If you fit one of these two profiles, I invite you to join us in the "Clàssica en català" conversations where professionals on or next to the stage describe the technical, human and professional aspects of Classical Music.
Enlírica't
If you are part of the opera community in Catalonia, whether as a student, teacher, professional or music lover, "EnlíriCA'T" is the podcast in catalan that empowers the opera field around you. On each episode Anna tackles a significant issue in the development of an opera career or in how it fits into society. She also invites an expert to freely offer his or her opinion and introduces you to two vocal talents trained in Catalonia, one from the 20th century and the other from the 21st century.
About anna
Praised for her “emphatic performance and glowing vocalization” (Die deutsche Bühne) and “great dramatic and vocal work” (Ópera Actual), catalan mezzo-soprano Anna Alàs i Jové recently made international critically acclaimed main roles debuts in the world premiere "Unter dem Gletscher" and the belcantist “I Capuleti e i Montecchi”, aswell as her rendition as Cherubino, all at the Linz Opera; also her recent opera recording “Alba eterna” (Sony Classical) has been highlighted by spanish critics.
Among her last debuts stand out Monteverdi's "L'incoronazione di Poppea" at the Opera Wuppertal, Wagner's "Rienzi" at the Leipzig Opera and the leading role of Rossini's "La Cenerentola" at the Cologne Opera.
Next debuts include Berlioz's "Béatrice et Benedict" at the Braunschweig Opera as well as Mendelssohn's "Elias" next to the Berlin Radio Orchestra at the Berliner Philharmonie.

G. Rosssini
"La Cenerentola"
"The undisputed star of this evening, which ended with a standing ovation, is the mezzo-soprano Anna Alàs i Jové (...) the full sensuality of her register is always combined with melancholy at vertiginous speed."
Juan Carlos Tellechea - Mundo Clásico
V. Bellini
"I Capuleti e Montecchi"
"Anna Alàs i Jové has the necessary acting presence and impressive vocal competence for the once Agnes Baltsa's brilliant role and strikes the balance between devoted love and resoluted social-political commitment."
Walter Gürtelschmied - Die Presse
C. Monteverdi
"L'incornazione di Poppea"
"Her remarkable versatility between dramatically convincing outbursts to pale, lyrical, innerised lament tones proves both technical security and extraordinary vocal expressiveness."
Sibylle Eichhorn - Das Opernmagazine
W. A. Mozart
"Le nozze di Figaro"
"The secret star was Anna Alàs i Jové with her dark timbred mezzo voice. The precocious page purrs, he sighs, as if by the sight of a woman his pants fell off. She sings absolutely confident in the melody and clear in the articulation."
Edda Breski - Westfälischer Anzeiger
H. Purcell
"Dido and Aeneas"
"Speaking of singing, the level was very high, especially in Anna Alàs i Jové's interventions, a mezzo-soprano who performed such a carnal and spiritual loving Dido, in a heartfelt and intense final lament."
Enrique Bert - Platea Magazine
